Golden Crown Literary Society NaBloPoMo November 2018

A day of books, laughter, and fun

It was another long day. Yes, a long day. But it was a fun day, too.

Books and Boots got started with some opening remarks and then we moved into the panels for the day. These were great line ups. The moderators and audience members asked questions of the panelists – and there was some great discussion. In between some of the questions, authors on the panels did readings from their recent publications.

There are some great stories out there that I simply must read!

We had some raffles and winners got 1) a ticket to our conference in Pittsburgh and 2) a Kindle Fire. The silent auction seemed to grab some attention – the bidding seemed pretty competitive on some items.

Authors signed autographs and the group went out for dinner. Like I said, a long day.

I did remember to take a few pictures. Not many, but a few. At the end of the day, the authors in attendance gathered to take a group photo. It was a process! I also got a few snaps – including my lame attempt at selfies – with some of my friends.

All-in-all, it was a good day and a successful event. I think everyone had a good time.

Hopefully, there will be more events similar to this around the country.
