So this is day 30. I’ve made 30 posts in 30 days. For many of you, this is a “whatever” kind of task. That’s cool. I know there are lots of folks who post every day or do NaBloPoMo multiple months out of the year. Hell, people doing NaNoWriMo are writing a shitload more during November than I’ll write in a year. And that’s all great.
But I’m not one of those people who can commit to posting every day or multiple months or to writing a novel. Hell, I still have a story that I stopped writing in 2008 – just waiting for me to get to the next chapter. (I started it in 2005.) So, yeah. That kind of dedication is sort of beyond me.
So I test myself in November. To see if I can do it. To see if I can stay dedicated to the task. To see if I can come up with something worthwhile to write about for at least half of the posts.
In that respect, I’d call this a successful month. Some days were harder than others. I think at least half of my posts were moderately interesting. At the very least, I had some fun videos to share in some of my posts.
I always hope that this will be the catalyst for more regular posting on my part. I try, but it usually ends up withering away until I review a book or a movie. Or until I have something remarkably interesting happen in my world. Unfortunately, my world doesn’t get that remarkable.
For now, I will raise a glass to myself (peach iced tea – yum) and toast to my November success. Hopefully, I will find things to write about and share more often in 2017 than I did in 2016. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Thank you to the readers who have been following along this month. I’ve appreciated having you along for the ride.
I’m impressed Carleen. I keep trying to remind myself to blog on my website or my amazon site or any number of other places, and I haven’t even been able to do it once a month, so once a day is a big deal!
