That’s right, kids. It’s November and that means it is National Blog Posting Month. And that means I will be challenging myself to post a blog every day for the month of November. My friends do NaNoWriMo, I do NaBloPoMo. (That didn’t sound quite so naughty in my head.)Β I tend to start the month with a rather general post – just something to get the brain cells moving and my fingers loosened up. For typing! Typing! Β Minds out of the gutters.
November is always an “interesting” month for me. I don’t mean that in a “oh, how fascinating” way. I mean that in a “jeez, this month is a mixed bag” way. November always seems to have these interesting ups and downs. On one hand, November is a busy month filled with baking and shopping and family. On the other hand, November also brings bouts of melancholy and difficult remembrances. Knowing this, I’m sure that my posts this year will slip and slide all up and down the spectrum – there will be things that make me laugh and things that make me cry.
And I’ll share them with you.
I am hoping, at minimum, there will be reviews (books, movies, plays), recipes, and reflections. It would be great if I could find the inspiration and motivation to write some meaningful (culturally, politically, emotionally) blogs over the next 30 days. Perhaps the consistency of writing for my blog every day will help me to get back to a story I started 10 years ago. I have 14 chapters…I should try to do something with them. Right? *shrug*
Anyway, that’s my rather boring start to the month of November. I hope I haven’t scared you away, dear readers. (All 3 of you.) I’ll do my best to be more interesting and worthy of your readership. π
