I was snowed in today.
No, it wasn’t a blizzard. But we did get hit by Winter Storm Bella. When I look out my window, I can see about 10 inches of snow piled on my car. I didn’t go outside at all today. Wasn’t about to mess with the first snowfall of the season. Particularly since the experts are saying that this was the 2nd highest November snowfall since 1895. (It was heavier in the north and northwest suburbs.) Depending on what tomorrow is like, I might go out and clean off the car and, maybe, shovel. (If my neighbors haven’t done so already.) Then again, I may not. It should be above freezing by Monday…I have enough food in the house to last me until then. And if not, Domino’s delivers.
So, I baked today. I did another round of fruitcake. This is only the second year that I’ve made it…and the first that I didn’t have my aunt helping me. I think both batches came out pretty well. Though, I’ll have to see what people say when they eat it. Personally, I don’t like the stuff. Well, that’s not true. I like the cake. I just don’t like the Southern Comfort that is infused throughout it.
But it sure is pretty. 
I also started watching Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix. I watched while I was baking. You know, it’s a good show! Krysten Ritter is really good. I honestly didn’t expect this dark and intense of a performance from her. But she pulls it off well. She’s kinda badass. I like that. It’s cool. I’m looking forward to checking out the rest of the season.
