I’ve been unable to get my brain to settle on something to write about tonight. I really hate it when my brain won’t settle.
So here is a smattering of random thoughts that went through my head today.
Baking: I did some today and I will need to do some pretty much every day for the next 2-3 weeks. Glad I got the majority of my ingredients already.
Cooking: I need to get started on stuff for Thanksgiving. I’ve got my Turkey and don’t have to worry about that until Wednesday night. But I still need to go shopping for the other stuff I’ll need to make Gram’s meat dressing. I guess I’ll be doing that on Sunday or Monday.
Snow: We’re supposed to see the first snowfall of the season this weekend. Some say 2 inches. Some say 6 inches. Some say a foot. but we’re supposed to have temperatures in the high 40s and low 50s by midweek, so I’m not going to worry about it too much.
Sandra: I keep up my #moranminute. The time is just used differently. Though, like most of us, it’s more than a minute and it happens more than once a day. I find myself talking to her and Mom often throughout the day.
Vehicle: I need to get my car in for an oil change and so they can fix my fog light…again. This is the 3rd time it will be replaced since September. This time, they’re going to have to look harder for the problem. Either that or they are going to have to find a better bulb supplier.
GCLS: There’s a board meeting this Sunday and I need to do my report. Also, there will be more nominations I’ll need to put on the web page once I get them from the Awards Admins. Another email reminder about voting for Director of Membership needs to go out soon – voting closes soon. Fortunately, I’m in “maintenance mode” with the GCLS right now. So it’s not overwhelming.
Reading: I need to carve out time for reading. I’m behind on reviews. Plus, I just miss reading. I keep reading posts on Facebook about the new releases and all of the books that people are reading. Frankly, I’m jealous.
Cats: Midi is cute when she chases her tail.
That’s pretty much it. Boring Thursday. Now you know about some of the random stuff that floats through my brain on a daily basis. Some of it very meaningful; some of it absolutely inane. But, there it is.
