I’m currently on my way home from a quickie trip to Kansas City, MO to see a friend’s presentation. I started thinking about all of the traveling I’ve done this year…more than usual.
I know a lot of people are doing these memes and quizzes online about how many states they’ve visited. So, I thought I could count up the states I’ve been in/through just this year.
July: Drove from Chicago, IL to Portland, OR and back.
- Illinois
- Iowa
- Nebraska
- Wyoming
- Utah
- Idaho
- Oregon
- Washington (we crossed the state line a few times for meals)
- South Dakota
- Montana
September: Drove from Chicago, IL to Dallas, TX and back
- Illinois
- Missouri
- Arkansas
- Tennessee
- Texas
October: Drove from Chicago, IL to Provincetown, MA and back
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- New York
- Connecticut
- Massachusetts
November: Drove from Chicago, IL to Laurinurg, NC and back
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Ohio
- West Virginia
- Virginia
- North Carolina
- Kentucky
November: Drove from Chicago, IL to Kansas City, MO and back
- Illinois
- Missouri
- Kansas (crossed the state line for lunch)
That’s a lot of states this year. It comes up to 24 unique states. Nearly half of the full 50! Whew!
I think I’m done for the year.
Unless I decide to drive a couple hours north and see what’s happening in Milwaukee, WI.
